Stacey's Annual Round-Up

And there we have it. Another year gone. Too quickly some might say. It’s been a blinder, one of those years where you do so much but also so much of what you did seems so long ago. How have I been married a year already? It's been THE BEST year though. Honestly.

This year started with Mari and myself doing dry January, something which is highly addictive and I would recommend to everyone. We also began working with Tootbus, Americana and DRW where we completely transformed their 38th floor office into a Apres Ski Lodge, complete with fake snow, snowballs, craft beer on tap, skis, Tartiflette, and Toblerones…. You get the jist.

We did a massive PR Campaign for Tattoodo's launch in the UK. The event had them taking over a tattoo studio and doling out free tattoos, we had to close the event so many people subscribed and there were literally hundreds lining up Shoreditch HIgh street, hoping to make it in. Then I did the marathon. I completed it. I didn’t die.  That seriously feels like a lifetime ago. Literally straight after that Jess and I went off to Bournemouth for site visits, I could hardly walk but we do a lot in Bournemouth these days. Then, just to keep up momentum we boarded a plane to whisk the team off to the Riviera Maya in Mexico for our annual staff retreat. Standard.

Once back on British soil, with a full team (not a broken ankle in sight), it was straight off to Brew//LDN where DJ Spoony kept us dancing into the night for the last ever party at Printworks. But alas. No rest for us, me and my trusted sidekick Mari were straight back to the airport and on our way to Amsterdam where we delivered the DevOps Conference, IT Revolution with Jess.

Tired yet?

Flying back from the Dam we were too tired even to enjoy a glass of bubbly on our free upgrade to Business Class. We slept and god was it good.

June brought festival season and we worked with Out & Wild, Lowde Fest, Crooked House Festival, took clients to Isle of Wight and Glasto, and got prepped for LGA Conference where we delivered some top notch fringe events for our clients.

The Summer used to be quiet. But not for us. We helped launch the Inaugural Pride Swim, Miracle D&P's staff offsite, Showcases galore and our wonderful Livvy left. (Not without a banging send off though).

September brought us more clients, Tia and Dick joined the A team and we started the month with a takeover of the Cable Car and Terminal in North Greenwich for Phenom People's client party. In the Clouds was a career highlight of mine, "party in a cable car?"  - there's literally nothing we can't do. Some weeks in September we had events every single day. We had Tile Hill's offsite at the now dearly departed Birch. We had an Oktober Fest party in the Leadenhall Building, we hosted clients at a secret Kitchen party at the Dorchester, the list goes on.

October was my birthday, I was 40 and of course we had a party for that too. We also delivered conference fringe events across the UK, this is all while delivering our top notch marketing and PR work for all our clients. How do we do it?

November I was shortlisted for the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, I was the only woman in the shortlist of 8, but alas, I did not win. We DID win the Corporate Livewire Best Boutique Marketing Agency award though. Touche.

And that brings us to December, We're Christmas partied and carolled out, we;re downing tools today, we've got ahead on all our work. Now we're looking forward to a lovely relaxed time with our loved ones, a fresh new year, exciting challenges ahead and more bloody brilliant work next year. Where it will take us no one knows, but we'll make damn sure we have fun doing it.

Merry Christmas everyone.
