NPT Nature Unearthed
The Client:
Neath Port Talbot Local Nature Partnership (NPT LNP) is a collective of passionate eco-heroes saving toads, restoring peatlands, and championing all things nature. Whether it’s rescuing 800 toads in a single spring (Bryncoch Environment Group, we see you) or conserving the Blue Ground Beetle in Skewen, this team is all about action for nature.
The Brief:
Following their February 2024 launch event The State of Nature, which was a hit with local business owners, politicians, and stakeholders, NPT LNP wanted their next event to dial down the formality and turn up the fun. The goal? Celebrate their hard work, engage the public (especially kids), and spark a love for nature in the next generation.
Our Approach:
We knew this event needed to feel as alive as the nature it celebrates. Here’s how we made it happen:
The perfect setting:
After scouting the area, we booked Margam Country Park—a dreamy location with rolling hills, nature trails, and a castle straight out of a fairytale. Why settle for good when you can go grand?
Big marquee energy:
We pitched a massive marquee right outside the castle with epic views of the park. After a bit of supplier wrangling, we snagged a responsive local company offering a better price. Budget win.
Goodie bags with a purpose:
For the first 100 attendees (mainly kids), we created nature-themed goodie bags packed with fun colouring sheets, branded pencils, and info about NPT LNP’s projects.
Hands-on nature fun:
Bug hunts, moth traps, and guided nature walks brought the outdoors to life, with local nature partners leading the charge.
Talks in the castle:
We set up a room in the castle for inspiring nature talks, with a projector and all the bells and whistles.
The Results:
By 11am, the marquee was up, exhibitors were set, and Margam Country Park was buzzing with excitement. Here’s what went down:
• We welcomed attendees from every corner—pre-planned visitors and curious park-goers alike.
• 16 tables were filled with eco-partners sharing their work, from bug conservation to peatland restoration.
• The nature activities were a smash hit, with kids (and grown-ups) diving into the hands-on fun.
Client verdict? “Better than we could’ve imagined!”
Another wildly successful event for the books, proving that when Goho takes the lead, even nature celebrates.
