Private client.

The Brief

The client asked us to event manage her 50th Birthday party from end to end, from venue find to all of the elements on the night and event management on the day.  As a big fan of musical theatre, she wanted this as her theme for the party.  She liked the idea of live music as well and she trusted us to design, produce and manage the entire event from scratch.

Our Approach

The first task was to find the right venue for this event.  We have extensive venue finding experience at Goho so we consulted our directory to find the perfect venue for this event.  She wanted a central location as lots of her guests were coming over from France for the party so somewhere within the tourist part of London. We looked at lots and lots of venues before the Hampshire Edwardian Hotel in Leicester Square was decided on, this was the perfect party venue for this special occasion.  There is a beautiful penthouse on the 10th floor of this stunning hotel and she fell in love with this venue straight away.  Once this was decided, our creative and imaginative design team created an invitation and we then mailed this out digitally to all of her attendees using our trusted and tested invitation software. 

We also managed the whole process of acceptances taking this whole piece of time consuming work away from our client.  I then sourced a fantastic band who were to play a small karaoke set for her guests of show songs, keeping within the theme to get up with the band and join in as well as two amazing live music sets. 

We involved her throughout this whole process so that the sets were songs that she loved and were specific to her and her party.  We arranged all of the party decor, the photography and an amazing and impressive birthday cake for the birthday girl.

The Results

On the day of the event everything went as meticulously as we had planned. 

The band arrived, set up and sound-checked, the catering team at the hotel set up the space and readied the catering, the cake was delivered and we ran through the order of the evening with all involved according to the event plan that we had put together pre-event.  Then all that was left was for the client and her guests to arrive. 

With us there to event manage she was able to enjoy every moment of her well timed and organised party and simply enjoy her evening with her loved ones.  She was over the moon with the results of the party and the photographs that will be a lasting memory of the event forever.  Another successful party from team Goho producing and managing events is what we love best!
