Sugar Studios is a dynamic space for film, photography, and events, boasting four versatile studios, including a green screen, virtual production setup, and a drive-in infinity cove.

The Brief

Sugar Studios wanted to branch out from their traditional focus on filming and diversify into hosting events. The goal was to showcase the full potential of their spaces with an experiential event that would captivate an audience of around 300 attendees, mostly from the events industry.

Our Approach

We love a blank canvas, and Sugar Studios gave us just that—four incredible spaces to transform into an unforgettable showcase. Here’s how we brought it to life:

Collaborations to Shine:

We reached out to our network of top-tier suppliers, offering them the chance to showcase their talents in front of industry pros. The response was overwhelming, and we curated a stellar lineup to bring the event to life.

Space by Space:

The Main Studio: We set this up as the heart of the event, featuring a bar, poseur tables, and exhibition areas. Six event suppliers, including Staff Hive (staff hire), Nova Live (lighting), HireIt (furniture), and Fabio’s Kitchen (catering), showcased their services here.
Holistic Studio: This space became a haven for creativity and relaxation, hosting a drum workshop by Wuntanara and bowl ringing sessions with Sarah Engerer.
Green Screen Studio: Gootopia took over, running their quirky and fun Slime and Wine workshop, which was a huge hit.
Infinity Studio: The day kicked off with a talk on virtual production, followed by a thought-provoking panel discussion and Q&A hosted by Screen Daily. Later, we transformed the space for an intimate live performance by St. Lundi, fresh off his European tour and just a day before his album release.

Entertainment and Extras:

A roaming band kept the energy alive as they moved between studios.
Guests enjoyed delicious canapés from Fabio’s Kitchen.
Goodie bags and a raffle supporting a local charity added thoughtful, memorable touches.

The Results

The event was a resounding success, earning rave reviews from both Sugar Studios and attendees. Industry professionals commented on the creativity, seamless execution, and engaging atmosphere, saying it surpassed similar events they’d attended.
